About Us
SAM
Sam is co-owner and Head Trainer at Riverside Canine Boarding and Training, driven by her lifelong passion for animals.
Her journey into the world of dog training began in her childhood when she had an aggressive dog, which ignited her interest in understanding canine behavior.
As soon as she was old enough, she pursued a job at a kennel, and nothing could deter her from working with dogs. She gained valuable experience at Topdog Boarding & Training in Gilbert, AZ., where she had the privilege of learning from four different certified dog trainers.
Over three years, Sam dedicated herself to mastering both training philosophies and the ins and outs of kennel life. After relocating from Arizona, she continued her career at several training kennels, which deepened her knowledge of kennel operations while working closely with clients and their dogs. With a strong affinity for dog psychology, Sam is a Certified Dog Trainer from Conifer K9 and has earned multiple titles for her dogs.
JOSH
Josh is a dedicated co-owner of Riverside Canine Boarding and Training. He graduated from Alma High School in 2018 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he served for three years and is currently in the Army.
His passion for dogs began with his first pet, a Black Lab named Sheeka. After rescuing a Belgian Malinois, he was inspired by the incredible potential every dog holds. This experience motivated him to pursue a career working with dogs, and he is now focused on understanding dog behavior and training as a meaningful transition after his military service.
